Depending on where in the mouth you have lost a tooth, you might experience a number of problems such as a change in dental appearance, movement of the remaining teeth and gum issues.
A dental bridge is the preferred option when you have lost a single tooth or a couple of teeth in a row. It will be made to look exactly like a natural tooth or teeth, so that it will blend in with your smile and look just like your natural teeth.
There are different types of bridges we can use to resolve your issue. Some of which will be supported by dental crowns on either side of the gap and others that can be adhered in place using a strong dental adhesive. One of our experienced dentists will recommend the most suitable bridge to meet your needs.
Made from porcelain or ceramic, dental bridges are tooth-coloured so they match your existing natural teeth.
If you require a bridge, we will take impressions of your natural teeth so that our technicians can build you the right sized replacement. While we wait for this to be completed, we will provide a temporary restoration so that you can carry on smiling and interacting as usual. Once its ready, we’ll invite you in for the bridge to be fitted.
Dental bridges are long lasting and resilient. They can last for many years as long as you care for them properly and maintain a high level of oral hygiene.
